Doing It

Coo., bloody coo.. to you too..

Waking up to sunshine.., notes and messages this morning after a weekend..
Look, I'm a driver (I know I am).. and have been since there were Ford Cortinas on the road.., but trying to get a new fangled car to move, proved more of a challenge than I anticipated.. Yes, yes, I know you're supposed to just move and the handbrake will go off (!)., but something in my psyche tells me I'm supposed to disengage the thing first... AND trying to reverse also proved to be a fun filled hour.. It would have all happened so much faster if I'd put my darn seat belt on., apparently..  Nothing happens 'til you click da belt.., but at least now I know.. I love German engineering and especially those four rings..

A big yellow bus

I just got back from an alone, lonesome rural walk.. and taking a walk along the side of an English country road requires nerves of steel and ice water running through your veins, 'cause when those speedy  and revvy 4 cylindered wheels whizzed by me, there was a momentary thought that entered the old head that went over my last will and testament.. I left my worldly possessions, a biro (with ink in it) to my favourite person and a spare camera battery to another, my old shoes to the homeless guy I see around.. and that about did it for my will.. Next time I go, I'll take my hedge shearers with me to trim the wild hedge back a little..; scary man, scary.. I guess not a lot of people chose to 'wandered as lonely as a cloud'.., where as I'm all over the idea of checking out just how much litter is thrown out from passing cars..; it's truly unbelievable just what you see and step over while taking in an English countryside lane..

Why does the skin round the edge of your finger and nails around the cuticles crack.? and why do we get overgrown cuticles..? and really., I don't get off on single digit temperatures.. AT ALL..

I like paper shredders.. I just picked a few pumpkins from the veggie garden in the dying light., before wheelbarrowing the monsters 'down' the gentle grassy slope, stopping off to check on the berry bushes., before the well earned opportunity to sample a couple of 'stollens' and a look through a catalogue..

Looking out of the window I can see smoke in the distance.., a leafless tree and long assed shadows..; the sun's dropping faster than Felix did and I ran up the stairs to take in the chilly sunset..

something for someone local to be proud of

The approach

SO., laying in bed, gazing out of the darkened window.; I seem to look out of a lot of windows.,  I can see fireworks lighting up the distant horizon and there's a fly stuck in the lamp shade going absolutely nuts.. I can hear it hitting the sides of the shade, buzzing around., leaving me wondering what I should do with it.. Why doesn't it simply fly upwards., or downwards.. and how many times will it hit the sides before it realises it ain't going to fly through the shade..? duh..

I've got to pack my stuff into my travel case for tomorrow's return to yesterday's wettest place in the UK.; yippee.., diddly dee..; damn fly..

today's inspiration

FALL
ALL
LEAVES
ALL
FALL
Ed Ruscha

Just wondering what kind of music I want to listen to and am favouring Miles Davis., but sooo know I'll end up listening to some blues.., man..

I'm going to squish that bloody fly..; damn thing..

A Facebook message just came in at the same time as a 'really' interesting post leaving me on the edge of my emotional seat..

Had pasta and red vino, followed by some dessert and choc'..; watched a little highbrow quiz stuff, managing to get only one sporting answer correct.. and now hearing the distant bangs and firework explosions mixed in with the bloody crazy fly..; I'm going to blast the damn thing..

I hope it's not really a man's world., 'cause I like women in my world

I'm thinking of doing my usual sit-ups and crunches.., but only thinking about them as the er.,'second', cough, er, glass of red vino and all that choc's gently persuading me of my options.. and sitting in bed watching the fireworks seems like a more relaxing option..; oops, another entertaining Facebook post has come in..

shh., it's kinda private

I  visited an ATM today.. and the sun made it difficult to read the screen.., then walked over a narrow  bridge, checked out an old water mill.., before navigating the electronic gate and 150 meter gravel drive..

Thinking of a few friends and wondering what they're up to..; the fly is caught.., trapped and will be dealt with..

San Francisco.., my friends make me laugh.. and my wardrobe's consistent..

You see this badly done on purpose ., but the badly-done-on-purpose thing was done so well that it just becomes., let's say., profound.. - Ed Ruschda

Excuses

I'm sick
I'm tired
My phone broke
My dog was sick
I had a busy day
X-Factor's on TV
My kid's homework
I've had a busy week
My car wouldn't start
I'm still feeling weak
I'm in bed with the flu
My children needed money
I had to go somewhere first
I'd have needed to catch a bus
I'm just recovering from a cold

You draw your own conclusion

 Actual
Conversations with people

I just caught my first evah 15 seconds of Girls Aloud..; I didn't make it to 16.. I had a life before cables.., it was called a phone box.., but now I have chargers for this, for that.. and even for the other.. I also had a Motorola car phone once, about 99 years ago.. and thought it was the coolest thing since an ashtray on a motorbike..

two for...

I've got to stay away from old photographs..; some of that stuff I can't even remember., but if I knew at the time, I'd have done something with that wardrobe..

Random thoughts, randomly thought..

There is an outside beyond the door

Why choose to be stressed out about things you can't control... and generally., do what it takes to live more authentically..

Little Black Submarines
The Black Keys

You know how those conversations go when you say 'white'.. and the other person says 'black'., so you then agree and respond with 'black'.., only for them to say 'white'.. and no matter what you say, the other person continues to respond with the complete opposite..? Well, I had one of those exhausting exchanges today.. I tried so hard to offer up solutions, but all to no avail.. and exasperated, I resigned.. I'm totally exhausted now..

Studio Art

I looked out of a window today..

.. but this could be a long night..; I've got a headache and not ready to turn the light off..

I've never been around more negativity than being around obviously 'anti' United people.. Even walking out of the tunnel seems to cause  viewers to vent a draining opinion..

I couldn't give a flying Batman whether Jordan has split from Leandro.., however, I believe I'm ready for Skyfall.. and speaking of Skyfall., watching it from the front row was an experience.., especially when that screen opens/widens another few meters..; I mean., all ya can do is laugh..

The Wind Cries Mary

I don't want to sound unkind, or unthoughtful,  clever or smart, but I understand that Tony Scott died from 'multiple blunt force injuries' when he jumped from the Vincent Thomas bridge., according to the L.A. coroner.... The bridge is 365 feet high..!! Now.., I'm not an experienced L.A. qualified coroner., but.., hitting the water from 365 feet isn't going to be a soft landing..; hence he died..

Standing by the gate

I did a bad, bad thing..; kinda rebellious really., but I submitted a couple of pics for an assignment, a challenge, without editing them.. I'd seen so many over manipulated, highly edited pics that bore no resemblance to the original, that I felt kinda weirdly offended to be honest with you.. The fact is, you can use the tech' to alter so much that now, the ART of 'documenting' just what the eye sees, seems to have gone.. I don't see blurry water, but the camera stops it, or 'smooths' it out.., then you can 'clone' objects out.. and before you know it., what I saw., I didn't.. and what I didn't see, I now see..; Me.?, I just like to share the journey and document what I actually see.. and if I simply went out and used the morning's golden hour, or the evening's golden hour, or the tripod's night time.., who'd document the rest of the day..? SO., I did the bad thing and just submitted an actual photo.., of what I saw..

Image 52 - Week 44.. French Fries., British Summer Time.., waiting in line and

All

\text{GM=} \sqrt[n]{\prod_{i=1}^n a_i}=\sqrt[n]{a_1 a_2 \cdots a_n}.

Average

Average flash-mob., outstanding smiles and laughter

Airplane seats fit me.. Recaro sports seats fit me.., medium sweaters fit me..  and bus seats fit just fine..

I'm right in the middle of my weight graph, and my feet touch the floor when I sit on a regular dining room chair..; I fit onto sofas, find beds comfortably sized and there's enough material on my towels to dry me after a shower..
Door handles are the right height and stairs prove to be no problem either..

I don't suffer from insanity; I enjoy every minute of it

Plates contain just the right amount of food, while a fork fits perfectly into my mouth.., as does a toothbrush..

My pockets contain just the correct amount of space and gloves fit without any struggle or concern..; even baseball caps, beanies and hoods fit the ole head and shoe laces long enough for the perfect bow.. My ties are easily knotted into either a full, or half windsor, depending on the occasion.. and ice cream cones fit alarmingly well into the palms (and gentle grips) of my hands..

Average day

Camera straps seem to enable me to carry my camera without hastle, and my razor works well over my chin.. I can fit into a shower cubicle, bath tub and through a door as though they were specially designed for me.

My 'puter keyboard appears to accommodate my fingers  eerily well.. Phones seem to be exactly the right size for me to speak into them AND hear at the same time.. and I always find the light switch..

Parlez-vous français..
.. ich verstehe nicht

Funnily enough, the fridge shelves are just 'there'.. and my glasses fit over my nose and ears comfortably too..

Shop counters aren't too low, or too high.. and I can sip my beer out of the bottle without a struggle.. I can handle a paintbrush, pen and bar of chocolate as though I were born with them in my hands.. and go figure., windows are the right height for me to see out of..

Miracles happen when I drive, cause the pedals fall right where my feet are, but when I reach out and the steering wheel is positioned for me to touch, I'm blown away..

Average.?

Yep., average..

a single value that summarizes or represents the general significance of a set of unequal values

I can walk into an elevator without it being an issue, kick a perfectly sized football.. and hold a regular sized tennis racket in one hand while two serving balls in the other..

Footpaths seem to have been designed just for me.., as do mail boxes.., but what I don't get is how do they know how big I am at sporting events when I need to get through a turnstile and sit on a bench..?

Sitting at a desk is much easier due to the correct height of the work surface.. and wine glasses are just right for me to enjoy their contents from..

Poor visibility.., cool boats

I can climb ladders, pick up hose pipes.. and miraculously, my eyes are in the right place to use a pair of binoculars..

Guitars rest in my hands, spades have 'that' length that work for my hands and feet.. and dog leashes seem to be practical for me also. Scissors are another miracle, along with TV remote controls..

Scampi and chips., fish and chips, Fred's Chez
all decidedly average

Kitchens are specially designed for me with cupboards, sinks and stove dials falling to my fingertips.. Gas station pumps in exactly the right place, right by my car and gas tank, which is truly amazing when you think I've just driven hundreds of miles, often to strange, out of the way stations, before needing to fill up.. and ATM machines providing ease of use.. and bank tellers sitting right there,  actually infront of me when I decide I need to hand in my jar of pennies..

Golf clubs perfectly sized and coincidentally, also right handed.. as indeed are drum sticks too..

Innit

My belts have the correctly spaced holes in them enabling me to use them with stunning comfort.. Dentists tools fit scarily into my mouth as do the pieces of choc' so designed for my pleasure..

I can read words and pronounce them.., well the easy ones at least.; some of the longer, harder words are more difficult, which leads me to believe that I'm an average wordsmith too.. I can communicate verbally to a standard that I'm understood., for the most part.., unless you're possibly from a little known village in the Himalayan mountains, in which case, my lack of foreign language skills are probably going to let me down..; sorry.

Presentation., average..

So., what's this got to do with anything..? Well, for one thing, it shows and proves that being average is just fine..; life is set up for us to fully enjoy.. and enjoy the 'little' things we., or certainly many of us, take for granted..

 This week's

Friends., positively NOT average..
&
my thanks to them., positively NOT average

Each one of my gloves has five spaces/fingers in them, for., guess what.(?), my four fingers and one thumb..; geez, I love this life.., it's so easy..; imagine not having either of your four fingers or that thumb.!
