SOMEWHERE

A GIRL
There's a place for us,
Somewhere a place for us.
Peace and quiet and open air
Wait for us
Somewhere.

There's a time for us,
Some day a time for us,
Time together with time to spare,
Time to learn, time to care,
Some day!

Somewhere.
We'll find a new way of living,
We'll find a way of forgiving
Somewhere . . .

There's a place for us,
A time and place for us.
Hold my hand and we're halfway there.
Hold my hand and I'll take you there
Somehow,
Some day,
Somewhere!

Honestly and truly., what is there to do, if you exclude the Reef(s), the Ludo(s)., Flirt and M&S's 'cafe'.; all indoor., all da coffee set hipster hippier leather shoe'd peeps.! Where'd ya go to see some real art an' culture baby.. and where do you simply 'hang' when ya wanna be around 'oil' and canvas' not used alongside a photograph.; if you know what I mean..
.. and were you still peeing your pants during The Winter of Discontent. ''The Winter of Discontent refers to the winter of 1978–79 in the United Kingdom, during which there were widespread strikes by public sector trade unions demanding larger pay rises, following the ongoing pay caps of the Labour Party government led by James Callaghan against Trades Union Congress opposition to control inflation, during the coldest winter for 16 years.'' - How about the last time the Junior Docs went on strike., d'ya know who was 'around' and in power.(?).; probably not, uh.. Probably don't know about the Labour Party Conference in 1976 and 'the speeches' either..

Another Week 68 - Woody Harrelson, Zika Virus, Shark Attacks, Jose and

Ok., so let me put it this way

Imogen
There are 'peeps' who know how to put it this way.; they've been to 'Uni' and hey, got their deeGree.; they can put it flowery, they can, erm., cough, articulate.. Literate comes to mind.., whereas 'moi' (?) just observes and irritates.. One gains followers and friends while the other, simply gets read, but heaven forbid showing any signs of that.
So., onwards with this week's observations.. I saw the all too familiar 'group' this week.. A group so unmistakeable because of the way they stood out..; they wore their 'local' fashions with obvious great Primark pride, but perhaps it was their 'clipboards', along with the shiney shoes and similar ages that also added to the 'in crowd' look. Actually there was the token female among the 8 or so. Funny how I can remember the look, the sexes, the clipboards, the coats., but not exactly how many of them made up the group.; could have been 8., or 9., or 7.. The actual amount doesn't really matter ., there were more than 6.., I think..

Creative Minds

out any

ness
I can recall the anoraks, blue ones.. I can remember the hair cuts.. and I can accurately see the 'walks', the stances and the group discussions..; I can even see the way 'they' pointed and listened.; ALL official like. I guess I could have a pretty good guess as to who's voice was listened to the most and the one who most of the group 'followed'.. One woman, several gents.. Hmm, probably not one under mid forties., perhaps early forties at the most/least., although the way the local wardrobe works, nobody seems to have their suits altered to fit correctly which, in my lame and unqualified opinion, ages one quicker than even the mildest of stressful thoughts..

Archaic

Now., what were these 'guys' (and gal) doing..? NO doubt about it, they were 'from the council' offices.. They pointed 'here', they 'pointed there'., they 'gathered' here and they then went for lunch (?) at 'my expense' probably to the local Pier Approach hipster bar.; the one with the view of the pier., no less..
Again, I've not seen 'peeps' at the Food Court Street Corner place.., but hey, it's winter time.., for most of the bloody duh year.. aNd as 'they' used their 'talents' (and degrees) to promote, design., build and fund a groovin' 'out door' area not being used., I did wonder, hmm.

Watching these qualified folk point and meander through the 'water feature' and the fun fun., fun concrete 'cough, splutter'., leaves., I tried really hard to imagine like a creative council employee, so I 'hung out' for quite a while, but alas, I didn't see ONE public person, either sit down, stall, hesitate or infact walk through; from my vantage point I took in the fact that despite the several million 'dosh er rooneys'., this 'group' (?) are responsible for approving, no one was around to take it all in.., well, apart from said 'peeps'.. and me.., wrapped up to the gills..
is this a whine
NO
is this a rant
NO
it's simply an
observation
(that's French, you know)

Far be it for me to say., but, hey, I'm gonna say it anyway.; sorry., but if a place has a climate, an indifferent weather thingy., wouldn't ya wanna, perhaps., maybe think about 'roofs', creating a shopping center that attracts, that ties in., that offers 'something' anything worthy..! Wouldn't ya maybe, perhaps, think about indoor stuff (shhh)to give all us wet, wind blown, shivering locals a reason to support da local areARGH.. Might even help year round visitors who just can't cope with the blustery sand swept days.. When the rains come in., as they do., duh.. and they do with extreme regularity (duh)., duh.. Imagine a place with great shopping, with roofs.. and no, not Primark, not J&D Sports, not BetFred., not Spar and not another Tescos..; not another telephone place, not another ice cream Mum.. Is it that difficult 'group of archaic anorak people'.?

Yes, we can talk about the Green Party (all you want).. and yes, we can show our support to every local thing., but man.., let's 'throw off our anoraks and think outside the box.'., baby.. Those leaves are just not cool., the empty Street Food Corner., is just another empty place that even the vendors don't seem to wanna touch.., apparently., obviously..

English TV.; groan

There is an Argos in town, phew and hey hey for Argos., tucked away somewhere forgettable.. I wanted to pick up a Kindle, and after marching all OVER town (believe me !), I couldn't find one single place that sold 'em.., until, until I had an unusual brainwave (of sorts).. ARGOS baby.. ONE, one.. that's ONE effing place in a town that's home for over 180k ageing, care dependent residents that could offer me a Kindle.. I could've got in my car, drove outta town to find one, I guess., but the point is.., if I were visiting this ancient wannabee place, I couldn't find stuff in it if I tried.. Look, I wanted to spend yer actual dosh er rooneys on something other than a packet of choc' digestives., other than  lemon shower gel and other than a cup of coffee/tea and a cheese sandwich.

Degrees

I guess the group of middle aged anoraks and one woman, may have some say in all this, but I'm not expecting much, sadly, given the leaves and fountain that's 'shut down for winter'..; ''Haha., let's shut it down now we've built it..''. Hmm, well, we HAVE to shut it down because it gets all sand clogged up.. DUh, noooo.; reaLLy. Rocket science and degrees must have told ya all that.?.. The wind blows here (?), it rains too.(?) and the combination of wind and rain with a lil ole sand., makes for one hell of a mess and uncomfortable outdoor few minutes.. Degrees and qualification, uh.; rocket scientists huh.!

I do hope the field trip and lunch view proved a fun and creative distraction to that of da lil ole office for ya'll.; now, was that anorak nice and warm.?
If you're a Doctor suggesting/prescribing a band-aid/plaster for cancer., then I'd question your 'expertise' AND qualification
an' I'm questioning your expertise.. dude..

Another Week 67 - Debt, Winter Watch, Trump, Siri and

Plastic rain bonnets

I fell in love with a season
a moment.;
the moment's gone.,
there's a new season..

Today's one of those kind of days.; some days, I simply don't get.. and today is one of those days I just don't get.. Hmm..(?), dunno why., just..

Twaddle
Well., maybe it's how you write.., maybe it's what you write.., or basically, it's just how you see life..; ok, ok, I know.., who understands my view..! I get it, I get it., but man., dudette.., you guys are 'out there'..  - what's a guy to do., when there's nothing but a ''ball of confusion., of yeah, that's what the world is today..''
This is just a load of ole distracted thoughts., distracted bits of what's going on., but I seriously think that what's going on 'out there' is how you see 'real' .. and if that's real, I'm bewildered.., man.. - There's the ole political take., there's the ole spiritual take.., there's the ole literary/artistic take., the ole travel take.., there's the ole life take.., but the reality of it all is that there's always Bali from £429.. and that's a fact..; another fact is ... perhaps I just need to walk.., baby..

Sometimes life is just a bunch of coconuts

  • Today

Squally, showery rain will soon clear eastwards, then a generally windy and unsettled day, with sunny spells and blustery showers, heavy with hail and thunder. Feeling much colder than of late, with gales in places.
  • Tonight

Any showers easing to leave a mostly dry night, with clear spells. It will be a chilly night for many. Rain perhaps reaching the far west by dawn.
  • .. that all we're missing is a little frost and snow and we've got four seasons in one day..
  • Maybe its the opinions., maybe its the view.., or the facts..; maybe its the words I use., or the look I'm saddled with.. Maybe its the images I take..; maybe it's the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth..,man
Maybe I should like that post., that link.; perhaps I should leave a blah comment in reaction to yours.. Perhaps I should read a different newspaper.., but who reads an actual newspaper these days..; well, ok, people do., but., I don't.. I get my news from here, there and everywhere..

So.,
what's Hugh Grant doing these days
?
  • How 'bout those years., baby..; at some point isn't it simply 'time'.., time to turn the page.., or pick up a different/new book.. Isn't it just time to understand  and accept that the year is still throwing up the four seasons.. and summer is short and still open to being extremely changeable.. Isn't it time to understand that 'hipster' it ain't., packed full of culture., it ain't..
So., ok, you accept that and that's why you dig it..; you dig the rehab, you dig the care., you dig the occasional street violence (of varying degree)., you dig the uninspiring shopping.., you dig the two galleries.. and you dig the aesthetically questionable  changes.. Now, even the Hilton's view of the Gardens will be obscured by the back end of a building housing a white elephant.. You dig the wind., you dig the drab., you dig the faded and you dig sitting in a coffee shop..; you dig this and you dig that., 'cause you dig everything., man.. and you dig it because you're a real nowhere man.., sitting in his nowhere land

  • How do we improve., how do we change.., do we want to..; do we want to stay as we are.. and grow old.. sitting in the same chair.., surrounded by familiarity., similarity.. Ok, so you changed your chair., but placed the new one in exactly the same place as the old one.. Arghh., grrr..
    Sad
Hmm., the view from the brand new 5* Hilton's Sky Bar.. and from those 'Luxury Living' apartments is beginning to look pretty dang awesome..; soon they, the folks., will be able to look at the roof., AND the back of a building.., which, let's face it., according to the local authorities., is far better than the view of The Gardens..., apparently..

    Same ole song.,

  • same ole tune.,
  • same ole sentence..
  • same ole fan base..
  • same ole

  • I cut my neck while shaving today.. I ran my razor a milly distance over new skin and BLAM., a nick..  That's real., baby.; contemporary can also apply to life (?), can't it. You've gotta be quick to see blue sky here..

Seriously man.., this is where it's AT if you want a pub singer.. Perhaps the business men (and women.; phew)., the agreeable council and the events team don't think about 'the people'.. Just take a walk dude.. walk the town., breath in the space, watch people..; take in how they walk, where they walk, when they walk.; listen to da walkers., baby.. Watch and listen and when you've done all that, make yer decisions., plan your gig..; ''if you build it, he will come..'' . Have faith and make your decision based on conviction, strength., confidence..; believe in the talents, qualification and experience you should have surrounded yourself with.. and if the team ain't right, fix it..

Man
aren't some people really cute
really beautiful
&
really fun

until you get to know them

rant
frustration
disappointment

When I Google 'paradise', I've yet to see images., or descriptions of this place, anywhere., baby..

Now., is that a fact, or is that an opinion
?

There are places

charity shops and rain

''that deaf dumb and blind kid'' and English style envy..; I can live without long ass'd sentences., Strictly and pies.., but I can't live without colour., light or truth..- can't live with rudeness, while we're on the subject.., or unpunctuality.., or loudness.., or repetitive sh*t..; but bring out the open windows, fresh air and a gloveless day.. an' I'm all in.., baby..

Tea Bags

Wandering  my local 185k inhabited place., it's the foil and tupperware I notice., along with a lot of 'sitting down' type action..; people sit down a lot here.. FACT..
.. but., I guess, if you don't sit down, you'll keep spilling all your tea..
When I walk round the corner,, the one dude screams like he's in some kind of major pain.; then I realize, it's one of the kaHzillion 'homes' around these here parts.. It's either a case of the screams.,, the scooters or Amy Whitehouse..

and really., what's the borish deal with those squareish yellow type things with big eyes.. I saw a whole bunch of clouds.., surfer dudes and even a helicopter..; truly edge of the seat stuff.. I took someone's photo.. and opened a door.. I was also so long in the hospital that the car park's barrier was 'up' giving me a free day..
Totally edge of the seat stuff..

Foot Care
&
leaves

While I didn't snowboard, I did cause quite a splash.; I also walked over 1,001 hidden horse chestnuts which, if you've never placed your foot repeatedly over a mile's worth of horse chestnuts, you won't get what the experience is like..  However, I could throw in the avenue that gets me to the ocean and you'd get to enjoy just how much fun treading a mile of saturated leaves offers up..
The hidden treasures of rooted paths., conkered paths and twisted ankles are there for the taking

Choc
digestives
again
How can a washing machine take so long.. and wanting something that I don't really want.

Do we really like damp towels and 9x9s... do we really like rooms with an after thought 'window' in them., just because it means (?) another room.. and why wouldn't we make sure there's a heater.. where it should be.. Wardrobes.., closets and cereal.., man.. and why does the inside of my right ear itch.. and then again., why do I get a shiver down my spine..

Here's to spring
&
footpaths

I think I'm going to survive without Downton..; some links don't need sharing.. and even the trees look kinda sad..
what goes up., must come down
spinning wheel got to go round

Happy Birthday

Northern Iceland
What time's dinner.. and what time's early for dinner.. I think 5.45pm is way early.. At some point the mirror should tell ya what I could.. that those skinny jeans ain't happenin'., which., as we know, is tough to take.. and more so because they're everywhere., man.., but geesh., dude.., hang 'em up.. and walk away..
call me crazy
but
I love to see
people happy and succeeding
